event poster.
Been working on posters to advertise the events that the vandalists would hold at the V&A. There are 5 events: UNITE, EXPRESS, EDUCATE, INSPIRE and REVOLT. These are taken from each part of the manifesto, and each event links with the word.
Decided to keep an element of mystery about the posters alike the rest of the campaign. There is the date, the time and the place but that's pretty much it. Don't know whether I will keep it this way but this is where I'm at currently..

a series of posters...
We were all keen on the idea of fly posters, ones that could be repeated to create maximum effect, so i have come up with a really basic series of posters that I think would be effective. The posters will just be black and white photocopies pasted up and the posters are mostly type, with one image that would be repeated over and over. The words are extracts from the manifesto. Maybe we would tag the word 'VANDALISTS' next to these posters to signify who is saying this.
I also had this idea about our events, considering we don't have anything specific planned. What about if for each word; unite, express, revolt, inspire, educate, there was an event linked with this word? There could be flyers simply saying 'WE WILL UNITE' at the V&A and a date. The rest would be a mystery. Let me know what you think vandalists.

Colour Ideas!
This is just one of our ideas..... For this to be successful as a logo that we would use to tag the urban environment it needs to be a lot smaller. We are going to work on a few variations but intend to keep the same stylised look. We need to look at typography which ables us to make use of stencils for a cleaner less cliche image.
GUERRILLA ADVERTISING
I got this book out of the library today by Gavin Lucas and there's lots of interesting, clever stuff in there. There are lots of ideas and different forms of guerrilla advertising that I feel we could incorporate/adapt into our project.
I really like this idea of clean graffiti, simply one word that people would see everywhere. People would wonder what it means, what it's for. This could be the start of our project. We could create stickers/spray paint the word 'VANDALIST' in various locations to start the ball rolling.
A lot of large corporations use guerrilla advertising as a way of attracting attention and causing a stir:
